I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to present to the International James Joyce Symposium on the topic of “Who Reads Ulysses,” using data I’ve gathered pertaining to users of UlyssesGuide.com. Preparing this presentation required me to spend more time in spreadsheets than should be allowed for an English teacher, but I was really interested in explaining the demographics and reading habits of folks who read this novel.
Certainly, a more practiced data analyst would discover further insights in the data set, but this feels like a good start at presenting who reads Ulysses.
